Katja Jeanneret immigrated from Switzerland to the USA in her late teens to expand upon her horizon. She graduated with a degree in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota and applied her knowledge to the world of marketing. Always looking to learn more, she went back to the U of MN to earn an MBA. This jump-started a successful career in product and operations management. Three decades in the corporate world has opened her eyes to societies sharing common beliefs, customs, and languages. While improving processes and implementing new technologies she observed the behaviors of the people leading and being affected by these changes.
Now, she writes about her observations by connecting them to historical events – instead of CEOs leading the change its historical figures, instead of employees following the CEO and his echelons its common folk following historical figures. Katja’s life-long passion for people and word-smithing brings tales from the then to the now. She believes that everyone is a hero and deserves their story to be told.
Katja lives with her husband and four children in a suburb of Minneapolis. She enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, board games, and outdoor adventuring. There is nothing more exhilarating than to pitch a tent, stoke a fire to stay warm, and listen to the birds tweets at dawn.
